The beach party

On a ruby-red, sunny day a lovely precious girl called Millie stepped out of her cosy bed; her alarm was blaring as loud as an elephant that could have woken up the whole city. Her parents thought it was worth it because today was a day that the trees started swinging, the birds started singing and fortunately for them it wasn’t raining, if it had been they would not have been able to go to the beach.

Mllie did not know about the beach because it was her birthday surprise and all her friends were going too. Flooding through their windows, golden-yellow rays of glorious sunlight bathed their home. While Millie was getting ready, her parents were packing all the amazing things to eat : a box of fruits containing berries, bananas, mangos ; a plate of cheese sandwiches and a plate of fresh ham sandwiches washed down with heaven-like seasonal juice. Millie skipped down the stairs two at a time and as she opened the grand door right in front of her was a huge surprise. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILLIE!” chorused all her eager friends. Millie could believe her eyes. Everything she wanted was a reality. This was the biggest moment of her life. Her parents crept behind her and before she knew it. POUNCE! They gave her the biggest hug she had ever had.

It wasn’t long after, Millie, with her family and friends all strolled down the beach. Laughing along the way, they saw trees dancing, candy-floss clouds waving hello to them and the dog playing happily next to Millie’s side.
